Yes I know he was on the table

Looking for Friday ....guess thats a sign the week has failed me. The weather has been great, more than anyone could ask for. The kids have been a joy. (this means nothing has been destroyed or demolished) Bugs have been on my plants a bit and my nerves more.

On the 6th of June, my 3 oldest children will be visiting with "Grandma". I really can't say what that week will be like for me. Lonely, peaceful, relaxing, those words don't even go together. I feel reluctant to let them leave but they will so enjoy it. I'm likely to spend the entire week wondering around with my head cut off , who am I kidding that's what I do anyway.

I have searched and searched for things to keep me busy, involving sewing alas I have made baby shoes comparable to Robeez. No photos yet. Once I've purchased the new fabric they will be displayed.

Think I may try to go fight some mosquitoes and do some yoga. I need to clear my mind ASAP.
I'm pretty low right now. When the world brings me down , its up to me alone to pick myself up, for the love of my family I shall press on. This weekend things should be better. Maybe sights we will see, friends we will make, maybe something great will happen. Until then ho-freakin-hum. ( violin music ) *tear drops*

good-night.

Tomorrow is Kamron's last day of Pre-K forever. Were taking him for ice cream tonight for his 2nd graduation from a pre-k program.
I remember thinking "these pj's are so freaking comfy" last night before I drifted off to sleep. I think that must be the reason I over slept this morning.JK.  Kamron hid under my bed for 25m while I tried to get everyone up an adam, by the time everyone was awake it was past the drop off period. I was so upset at the fact that Kruse had cut a hole in Karter's playpen with Kamron's school scissors I almost had a heart attack.

Graduation from Oak Ridge Pre-K last year

Adam came home to comfort me, but as usual , he could not stay. I made some coffee and realized I had picked up fat free creamer, ....yuk! It worked though.

I've learned how to use coupons. Its hard to feed a fam of 6 on one income but its defiantly not impossible.
The real challenge is  the nutrition part. As everyone knows the better it is , (for the most part) the more it cost. Just can't wait till out garden comes in, and I'm  have faith that it will turn out great. (fingers crossed)
Karter is on a strict organic diet until the 1st year. (Kruse did really well with that.) I had planned on not starting food until the 6th month, however he needs a little more meat on his bones. I've saved all the baby food jars so far, so that we can prepare fresh once the garden comes in, should be fun. Adam is quit the cook, even more so than me.( I can sense the surprised look on your faces.)

Were cooking out this weekend with family friends, there is so much to do. I would love to pull all the weeds in my flower beds if only there was a way to get passed all the inside chores. I may just forgo the inside in order to prepare the outside. We'll finally be able to use our fire pit we bought back in Dec.
should be nice, as long as were winning the war on mosquitoes. I refuse to spray my children with repellent, if any one knows anything I could use instead please message me!! We need something to mix up at home, thats non toxic.
Speaking of killing bugs I saw this hilarious thing @ the store the other night, check it out...bug zapper

The decision is clear , I must go out and face the day , because its actually not raining for once and I would really like everyone to be in bed by 8 tonight.

It raining it's pouring ....again.

So I finally went ahead and took my camera back to best buy.  Honestly, think I may have to get a hammer and bash it in or flush it in the toilet to get some sort of service. I handed it off to the geek squad to have to sent off and repaired. First off , of course I broke it down and put it in the box. This guy couldn't even set a camera up properly....geez. He couldn't turn the power on. He couldn't put it in live mode. He couldn't focus. He couldn't even snap a pic once I "fixed" it for him, so can someone explain how he was even considered a real geek?! I was never more embarrassed for anyone. He then wanted wanted to keep my SD card full of photography.....yea right.  It was weird to say the least.

I put my zucchini, squash, & cucumbers outside reluctantly. It had to be done , they were out growing their boxes. I'll be posting pictures soon, that is if the storms don't wash them away!! Its been really coming down lately, at least thrice a week, probably be wishing for rain all summer.

Oldest & Youngest boys , just chillin.

All the rainy days call for a lot of movies, so I'm looking for good movies for the kids to watch. We've watched Princess & the Frog at least once a day for the last week. Great movie, but we really need to expand our video library. We'll be getting planet earth on blu ray next, can't wait, should be some awesome visuals! The kids just love nature shows, nothing makes me happier than seeing them learn about their earth. My little apples didn't fall far from the tree ;)
Karter is doing well, hes just been a lazy bones. Kamron and Karter are close as can be. Kamron is such a good care taker, they will set for an hour and play on the floor. Kruse hasn't learned how to be gentle yet lol. He's so IN YOUR FACE about everything, I dread the day he goes to preschool. I so enjoy all the kids at home, I'll be lost when Kamron is in full time.

Adam's new weather radio is driving me insane because it's not programed and keep alerting us for everyone else's tornado alerts !  I hope to be blogging much more interesting facts in the future
stay tuned.

                                                                           PEACE !

9 weeks

So  just an update , It's been 9 weeks now since I eliminated meat. I never dreamed I would face so much controversy for something I wanted to do for my personal self. I would never preach at someone about my life style because I sure as heck don't care to hear it from others. I haven't really explained it , but the reasoning is a personal commitment to the way I feel about the corrupt way food is produced in our country.  and I have eaten animals , and I'm not trying to make anyone feel wrong for doing so. There is not a person who can argue with the fact that our country has serious nutrition issues.

There are several very informative documentaries about the food industry out at the moment. I hope to inspire others to help themselves feel better , to buy from local farmers market , fruit stands and heck grow your own. Know where your food comes from, read labels and be a conscious eater. As most other things go, the motive behind producing food is money. Every person is smart enough to ask their self the question , "hey whats in this?". It kind of goes back to what your parents told you as a kid about taking candy from strangers. It's bait, and thats the way you have to think of it.

You don't have to stop eating meat,
you don't have to eat all organics,
you don't have to become vegan
, but everyone has the right to know whats in their food, and where it comes from.

Happy Hump Day

Happy day of the hump to everyone. Ahhh Wednesday bitter sweet, not Monday but not Friday....
looks like it will be dreary this weekend so I'm not sure we'll be going camping. :(  What ever happens, I know were going to be HOME for the most part. bleh.

Karter had his 5m check up yesterday. It appears he's only a little behind in development, so she was not worried. He is still a skinny mini, coming in at the 5th percentile in weight. but he's also very long. I was kind of surprised after his check up when the NP  told me the nurse would "be right in " to give him vaccinations.
Well, that didn't happen. I did something incredibly daring and skipped out on them through a side door. I had kinda had suspicions they were going to pull that with me, but then again they said nothing about vax when I scheduled his appointment. I had our bags packed I have to admit, but we breezed through the physical development exam. I'm just happy to know he's ok . The office called me twice on my way home and I didn't answer, now I'm + I'll be receiving a letter. but that's their bad decision , because they lost 4 patients.

Tomorrow Miss Anita is coming to check Karter for development. (that's the Parents as Teachers Lady) The kids LOVE when she visits. It's such a great program.

Also I hear this a lot, but supposedly we will be moving sometime in the next 6m or so. I want more than anything to be back at Oak Ridge. East TN is my place to be, I love it and consider it my home.  Also has been some talk about Dyersburg, which I'm not thrilled about. The only plus side would be the family is closer. If I ever go back to West TN it'll kicking and screaming. There is NO opportunity there. I'm sorry this may sound rude , but I don't feel like being the only childbirth educator that knows the truth and have the burden of teaching it to a bunch of close minded women who don't give two flips about the dangers as long as they feel no pain or don't have to worry about the hassle of breastfeeding and they can blame it all on ignorance on the subject. Then look at me stupid when I tell them I birthed natural, & Breastfeed like its a foreign concept , no.....it's what nature intended. The system is corrupt!  aaahhh I should have never gotten on the subject, it really boils my blood. I know it sounds like I wanna take the easy way out, and its true, I'm not in take on the world mode at this point. Lets face it , some day someone is going to have o be in that area of the world to educate these women, I pray it's not me.

I hope to have some new photos up , and yes my camera is still being a B!$@#  but every 1 in 50 I get a good shot, so ya know....

Everyone's waking up gotta run.

Until I can find time again ,

A ton of LOVE to all my subscribers! Peace!

Children's Haven of Southwest Missouri

                                                       Children's Haven of Southwest Missouri

I've found a place locally to donate my "things". I just saw a homeless teen mom on the local news. Children's Haven is just like the Ronald McDonald house only for children in family crisis. When we had our stay over two years ago in the McDonald house in Knoxville, after Kruse was born, I was really amazed at how well taken care of we were. I want to encourage everyone to find your local Ronald McDonald house or place for misplaced youth and donate in some way, many of them have wish list on their websites. Very simple way to help out someone and unlike donating to the Salvation Army or Goodwill (which are both great organizations) people in need won't have to be troubled with buying the things you wanted to get rid of for free. It's very direct.

We just returned from a birthday party. The kids are all played out, I love when that happens.  We had a good day. I've been messing with my plants a little soon I to have to transplant them out doors for good, nervous about that. I know all those bugs are just dieing to sink their teeth into my veggies!! (do bugs have teeth?!) IDK.

I have been really worried about Karter lately. He has been a little behind in development. He seems floppy compared to what you would expect in a 5m old. He did learn to push up from the floor last month that was a  relief . He does not enjoy tummy time at all , so he is on the floor as much as I can stand. I have many questions , but no chance of getting a Dr. to answer them . It breaks my heart thinking something could be wrong or there is something I need to be doing for him.

Not really sure what this summer will bring. Travel, camping maybe. Hopefully I will get around to sewing, tie-dyeing , and designing. There are so many things I need and want to work on, just have to find the strength somewhere.

The kids have been enjoying the park. The weather has been lovely.  I vacuumed my "van" today, and crap was it hot in there. I must keep it up though. We make a few trip though out the week to the park, library, and but of course The Well .  I would love to get back to a schedule, its not yet doable.
I really , very badly , need my meditation right now so I must bid you adieu.

Good night , & good night!
